Maian Meadows Dog Camp

Camp Zakika, on Lake Wenatchee, WA

The camp is located on the shores of pristine Lake Wenatchee, nestled in the Wenatchee National Forest. It is the perfect choice for anyone looking to experience a unique, beautiful environment for a special getaway.

Camp facilities offer a rustic camping experience. Cabins are very basic, most without electricity or heat. They have built-in bunks (sleep 8-12) but little else. Showers and toilets are provided in two separate buildings. There is a old main lodge with rustic stone fireplace as well as wood-burning stove, as well as a newer large dining hall for communal meals. Other facilities include dock, boats and kayaks, swimming area, campfire circle, sports courts, play field, crafts center, and challenge course.

There is plenty to do at the camp. In addition to watching your dog have the time of her life, and the games, contests, and camp activities mentioned above, there are hiking and mountain biking trails nearby. Or take a sightseeing trip to nearby Leavenworth, a Bavarian-themed town nearby.

[Note to campers who have only been to past camps at the Camp Colman location: Zanika's cabins are similar in terms of beds, but do not have bathrooms or tables or heat. Usually, heat hasn't been necessary, but just in case, a warm sleeping bag and extra clothing is a good idea - mornings in September can be chilly! The up side: beautiful hiking trails nearby to motivate you and your dog to get up and generate your own heat!]
